Step-by-Step Caribana Glam by Josette
Booking a makeup artist for Toronto Carnival morning can be a hassle, so we wanted to bring you a gorgeous, achievable Caribana glam look that you can do for yourself! Cloré Community member and MUA Josette Leacock has created this easy-to-follow pictorial describing how to pull off a beautiful eye makeup look for carnival in just 8 steps. Check it out!
8-Step Caribana Makeup Tutorial
1)
Shape your brows, and prime your eye lids with concealer.
Products: L.A. Girl Brow Pomade and L.A. Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer
2)
Lightly blend the light coral eyeshadow from the Nicka K Birthday Cake Palette into the crease and outer corner of the lid with a blending brush.
3)
Blend the red shade into the crease and outer corner of the lid, being careful not to cover as much surface area as you did with the coral shade. We want the red shade to be embraced by the coral, not to dominate it!
4)
Cut the crease with your concealer! A game-changing tip is to put some concealer on your lid and look up. The concealer will transfer where your lid naturally creases with your eyes open. Use a clean brush to trace a clean line from your tear duct to the outer corner of your eye and fill the entire lower lid with the concealer as a base.

5)
Pack the bright pink shade inside the lines of the cut crease with a shader brush.
For the edges, pack colour onto an angled brush and spray L.A Girl setting spray on it. This will help you to apply the colour more precisely to the edges of the crease.

6)
Apply teal-blue eyeliner onto the waterline and blend the teal shade from the Birthday Cake Palette underneath with a smudger brush.

7)
Time to dazzle! Apply some rhinestones in any pattern you'd like. Keep it interesting by using assorted sizes.
8)
Brighten your tear duct area with a highlighting powder, apply a soul-snatching winged liner, add some mascara on bottom lashes, and don't forget the cherry on top of this birthday cake: a show-stopping pair of lashes! You are road ready!
